Flipnotics Coffeespace Cafe

BARTON SPRINGS DISTRICT. Not just a coffeehouse, Flipnotics juggles several roles and, happily, gets them all right. The enterprise, like many Austin coffeehouses, occupies a former home – in this case, a 1960s split level. On one floor is a funky clothing store, and on another is the actual coffee house. It's not your ordinary coffee-and-pastry shop, though. Of course, there's good coffee, sandwiches, and muffins, but you'll also find steaks, pastas, burgers, and vegetarian options, along with wine and beer. Most nights of the week, a local band plays too. WiFi available.
