Not that good
Went to Romeo's after leaving UT game on 9/5/09. Not many people in the place, service was okay, after a 15 minute wait after being seated. Salad bland, hardly even tasted dressing. Cannalloni no taste whatsovever. Chicken marsala needed more sauce. Probably won't go back. Prices abit high for the product.

I lived and worked in Austin six years. Whenever I had the money to go to a nice restaurant, I went to Romeo's. The food was always delicious. The service was typically good. Overall atmosphere was pleasant and I really enjoyed the out door dining. Better than that, they offer authentic and delicious food at a reasonable price.

I went to Romeo's with a group of 6 on Valentine's Day and the experience was abysmal. I understand that it is a busy holiday for restaurants, but I truly expected more from a place that I used to love.
The service was slow (the wait was normal, but we were there for 3 hours after we were seated), the waitstaff was rude and inattentive, and the food was definitely NOT up to par.
In addition to the overall bad experience, our waitress brought us a bottle of wine that was different than what we ordered (and significantly more expensive) and when we questioned it, we were told it was not a problem and it would be fixed on our bill. Then an INCREDIBLY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL MANAGER told us that the mistake was on our part (although the waitress admitted fault) and we were forced to pay for it.
I was truly disappointed in a place that I once loved. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant.
