2. Asti Trattoria

Asti is an average restaurant. The decor is a retro and nothing fancy. But for some reason, I expected more. The food was par, the sauce and pasta, average--but I've had worse in Austin so I can't complain. You won't be impressed. My food was brought over by the water boy...not a very good sign. I went in after lunch hours so the service should have been there. Had the owner been around, I'm sure that would not have happened. It's about the minor details, and Asti lacks that professionalism. Their signature pasta was so-so. The wine, average. Still searching for the quality Italian in Austin...
