8. Shoreline Grill

I took my fiance' here for a special birthday dinner. Our waiter took our drink order (some wine) and disappeared for (I'm not kidding) over 40 minutes. He never brought the wine, never came back to take our order. Nothing. We were completely ignored, and the restaurant was NOT that busy. As we left, I told the maitre'd I was very upset at how we were treated (we were dressed nicely and conservatively, and had done nothing to merit such treatment, had been cheerful and polite to the waiter). My boyfriend then got upset with me for saying anything. A totally ruined evening.

Every time I dine at Shoreline I have a wonderful experience. The view can't be beat, the food is incredible and the service is always knowlegable and attentive. I don't think you can find a better place in Austin for a nice quite, romantic dinner. It's fabulous.
