1. Preakness Festival

The Buzz -- The week-long schedule of festivities celebrates the Preakness horse race, a well-known sporting event held at Baltimore's own Pimlico Race Track. The schedule includes a full roster of events leading up to the Triple Crown race, including a Hot Air Balloon Festival and a parade that runs through Charles and Pratt streets downtown. Race day itself is a huge festive occasion, with plenty of food, beverages and fun, in addition to the race itself.
