HAMPDEN.   This kitschy Hampden diner is a throwback to 1950s “Bawl’mer” when women wore beehive hairdos and cat-eye glasses. Café Hon is a great place for Sunday brunch in Baltimore, and everyone who comes through the doors is called “’hon.” Gingerbread pancakes and crab cake omelets are favorite Baltimore breakfast specialties, served with a side of amusement and nostalgia. Cafe Hon's reputation is better than the reality; the food is strictly run-of-the-mill diner. You won't regret eating here, but you won't remember it, either.
