9. Dalesio's of Little Italy

Dalesio's is our favorite Italian restaurant in Baltimore. The Veal Bolognese is fantastic, as are any of the seafood dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant with nice atmosphere and good service. Nice wine but somewhat limited menu. Salad a la carte, cold and crispy but not too flavorful. No bread with dinner, but garlic bread also a la carte is dry and hard. Beautiful presentation of entrees but food is not much better than fair. Disappointing.

The atmosphere is quite grand but unfortunately the food was not. The butter was freezer burned and disgusting, the one basket of bread for the 8 of us came an hour into the dinner and was never replentished. The food was mediocre at best, especially in comparison with some of the other Little Italy restaurants. The prices were directly proportional with our dissatisfaction.

Since I've been trying to eat healthier I decided to try this after a friend of a friend turned me on to it. I wasn't overly impressed, but not bad. Ok food, decent service, didn't care for the decor much. I would have given it 2.5 stars out of five but can't so I'll go with 3 out of 5

Mediocre food, across the board. Overpriced. Brusque service. Even "inauthentic" Carrabas & Macaroni Grill are much superior.
