32. Tio Pepe

Still my favorite restaurant in Maryland. If you can endure an hour waiting time during buzy , the food and service is worth the wait. Best desserts around-surprisingly light and delicious. Sangria is a must.

My fiancé made reservations for Valentine's Day over 2 months ago. We arrived 15 minutes early but were not seated for over an hour. The reason was that they were not only over booked, they were accepting walk-ins, and giving first preference to their regular clientele with or without reservations. The waiting area was so overcrowded with people that it could have been shut down for safety issues. The maitre d was callous and arrogant, he would not acknowledge our reservations, and kept telling us to wait. The food and service were equally below average. What a waste of good money!!
