MT VERNON.   Surrounded by museums and monuments, Mount Vernon is a historic Baltimore neighborhood with high aspirations, fancy townhomes, fine dining and posh boutiques - a hotspot for upscale Baltimore shopping. The Walters Art Museum, Peabody Conservatory and Baltimore Basilica make the area a Baltimore cultural district as well.
