7. Banff Culture Walk

The Buzz -- Banff has an active cultural schedule throughout the year. But on this one weekend, the city "officially" celebrates her cultural assets with a two-part festival. Culture Walk is on Saturday – it's when Banff's galleries feature a special program of art demonstrations and discussions, the museums offer special guided walks, and Bison Courtyard comes alive with live music. Doors Open Banff, on Sunday, highlights the city's culture and heritage with tours of about 20 beautiful and unique historic properties. It's a busy weekend, and almost everything is free (there are a handful of guided walks that cost about CAD7 each).
