8. Trailsports

Located at the Canmore Nordic Centre (site of the Nordic skiing events of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games, plus several World Cup Mountain Bike and Nordic events), Trailsports handles rentals and instruction for both cross-country skiing and mountain biking. With 65 km (40 miles) of ski trails and numerous single track mountain bike trails, the provincial park is popular year round. Trailsports has equipment for all ages, and offers drop-in lessons, too. Service (ski tuning, waxing, grinding, hot boxing) is available, and the day lodge (complete with café, restrooms and showers, lockers and a fireplace) is a cozy spot to rest after a day on the trails.   (© 10Best)
