Somewhat hidden in the Sundance Mall, this compact, low-ceilinged pub is a favorite local hangout. During the afternoon and after work, townspeople head over for a beer or to shoot a few rounds of pool. They also partake of hearty British comfort food, which satisfies hungry workday appetites. Daily drink specials bring similar pleasure to the pocketbook and to the soul. Visitors are welcome to stop by; just don't be put off by the short-lived sizing-up you'll get at first. The P & T is the beating heart of Banff's seasonal community. It doesn't try to be glitzy, quaint or themed. It's successful because it's a genuinely welcoming bar - where the staff will happily chat with you like old friends and were the regulars will point out the best local runs. All in all, this should be a fixture for all skiers.

It’s not a trip to Banff without going to the Pump. A refreshing change from the cookie cutter corporate pubs that are springing-up everywhere.
