Facts & Fundamentals

A Park Pass is required for the use of park facilities. This includes scenic drives (Bow Valley Parkway and Icefield Parkway), trails, picnic sites and viewpoints, as well as visits to the towns of Banff, Lake Louise, Field and Jasper.
Park Passes can be purchased at any of the park gates: East Park Gate on the Trans-Canada Highway, David Thompson Gate (summer only) on the David Thompson Highway, and Niblock Gate (summer only) on the Icefields Parkway. Park Passes may also be purchased at Parks Canada Information Centres; both the Lake Louise and Banff centres are open year round.
Daily pass: Adult CAD 8.90; Senior (65+) CAD 7.65; Youth (6-16) CAD 4.45; Family or group (2-7 people in same vehicle) CAD 17.80
Annual pass: Adult CAD 62.40; Senior CAD 53.50; Youth CAD 31.70; Family or group (2-7 people in the same vehicle) CAD 123.80

This Banff-operated service shuttles passengers between the Calgary airport and hotels in Canmore and Banff. It makes round trips every two hours and hires local drivers, who know the area and the roads. They'll also be glad to arrange charters with a number of vehicles, including a 1956 Rolls Royce, a Hummer, and several helicopters.

Making Your Way

Ski Resort Shuttles
Regularly scheduled shuttle busses run between the towns of Banff and Lake Louise to the three area ski resorts, with stops at or near most of the hotels. If you have a tri-area lift ticket (Sunshine Village, Ski Norquay and Lake Louise) you can use the shuttle for free. Otherwise, rates are as follows:
Round trip: Adult CAD15, Child CAD8
One-way: Adult CAD10, Child CAD6
