9. The Tides

ST. JAMES PARISH.   In a previous life, the building that now houses the much-lauded The Tides restaurant was the residence of a well-to-do family. Not too much has changed, except there are now casuarina trees growing right through the roof giving the place a certain a trendy ambience much appreciated by celebrities and other style-conscious types. Seafood is the star here, expertly prepared by an internationally trained chef. Dishes tend to be contemporary Continental or French, with a subtle hint of Caribbean flair. A light Tart au Citron is the perfect finish, but chocolate lovers will want to try the "Tidation," chocolate ganache on a flourless chocolate cake glazed with still more chocolate.   (© 10Best)

Just had our vist to Tides and it will not be our last. The place its self is first class and the food matches.My only concern is the new walk way that is being created on the sea front and how this will affect the view or people strolling past when you are having you meal as this is so close to the restuarant but we will have to wait and see.
