ST. MICHAEL PARISH. This luxury department store has branches in Holetown, at the cruise ship terminal, at the airport and on Broad Street in Bridgetown. Cave Shepherd is the largest department store on the island and offers designer clothes, beachwear, cosmetics, cameras. electronics and jewelry at duty-free prices.

ST. THOMAS PARISH. Visit this family-owned and run pottery to see your one-of-a-kind piece being made. Dishes, decorative ornaments and complete place settings are available. These unique art pieces make great gifts and souvenirs.

ST. MICHAEL PARISH. This pottery is housed in an old syrup-boiling house. Call ahead to schedule a tour of the entire operation. Each piece for sale is handcrafted of local clay and is individually painted.

ST. JAMES PARISH. If you are doing business in Barbados, you will find this full-service center indispensable. In addition to faxing, scanning and photocopying, they offer Internet access so you can do research or check your email. This is a FedEx shipping center and a stamp outlet so you can do all of your mailings from one convenient spot. If you would rather, rent a printer, fax or cell phone – then you can work from the comfort of your hotel room. There is also a location at Quayside Centre.

ST. JAMES PARISH. This shop is located in an old plantation house. Fine old mahogany furniture, crystal, silver and china are for sale. There is also an excellent selection of old books, prints and photographs.

ST. MICHAEL PARISH. Harrison's has several locations across Barbados, including two shops on Broad Street in Bridgetown and one at the airport. Founded in 1872, they specialize in duty-free goods such as crystal, fine china, perfumes, watches and leather goods.
