7. Monastir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes

Built in the 1300's for nuns in the Order of St. Clare, the Monastir de Santa María de Pedralbes will leave a lasting impression. The Sant Miquel Chapel is adorned with Ferrer Bassá's unbelievable frescoes, and artwork by Fra Angelico and Zubarán are among the works displayed in previous living quarters. Wander through the magnificent cloisters to gain a better understanding of monastic life. Note the display of paintings and religious artifacts you will find within the walls of the cloisters.
