2. Parc de Joan Miró

TARRAGONA.   This unique park is on the site of a 19th century slaughterhouse. Its main attraction is Joan Miró's statue "Dona i Ocell" ("Woman and Bird") that rises out of a small lake. The rest of the park is beautifully landscaped with flowers, pine, eucalyptus, and palm trees. You will even find a charming café on the grounds to stop in for a relaxing drink.
