EIXAMPLE. This magnificent building was begun in 1882, and it still has not been fully completed. Gaudi planned and initiated the original construction with a highly symbolic structure in mind. Today, eight of Gaudi's 12 spires representing the apostles stand above the church. The central spire is topped with a lamb, representative of Christ. Each section of the façade, some still under construction, has three doorways, representing faith, hope and love. METRO: Line 2 or 5 to Sagrada Família.
