MONTJUÏC. Sweeping views are afforded by this military museum that sits atop the hill Montjuic. Take a car or bus to avoid the long walk and a chairlift to the top of the castle. After a tour of the museum, take a breather and look at the city spread out beneath you.

OLD TOWN. This modern palace features kaleidoscopic colors in tile, sculpture, stained glass and mosaics. Originally built as a home for the Choral Society and now hosting musical concerts. Spotlights highlight the beautiful building at night. A must for classical concerts.

MONTJUÏC. Another region of the city built as a host site for the 1929 World Expo, this village represents the range and styles of Spanish architecture. Restaurants, shops and bars on-site are usually open for a drink or meal. Streets lined by quaint cottages.
