BATON ROUGE.   Set in a charming, early 20th-century cottage, this upscale restaurant boasts a definite Gallic feel, both in cuisine and decor. Guests in the small space delight in the traditional menu, a revelation of fresh, well-prepared ingredients and wonderful sauces. As a prelude to the main course, consider lobster bisque or chilled vicchyssoise. Then, move to roast quail with oyster dressing, Dover sole meuniere, veal chops with lump crabmeat, and, of course, such classics as duck breast, rack of lamb, and sweetbreads. An enviable wine list satisfies sophisticated palates, and a copper-topped bar offers cocktails. Great for a romantic dinner or special occasion.   (© 10Best)

the service was horrible. we never got our mixed drinks, and the lobster tail we ordered was overcooked and rubbery. when we said something the chef in a dirty white t-shirt came out and started to yell to my female guest that she got what she ordered and . the management just stood there and never told him to stop. they did not offer replacement or a percentage off the bill. i have never had anyone yelled at in the middle of a restaurant. they're prices are not cheap. we sked for the steak to go and when the waiter picked it up he put the dirty butter plate on top of it. i called the owner later that night and she was not concerned , just said no on eever complained about the lobster before and hung up on me. the place is very expensive and i think for those prices i would not expect to be yelled at by the cook. not only would i never go back again, but will discourage anyone else to take a chance on it.
