BATON ROUGE.   Something of a cross between a bar-and-grill and a sports bar, this popular restaurant is convenient to LSU and promotes its school spirit with a wealth of university athletic memorabilia. It also offers plenty of satisfying fare, including TJ's signature babyback ribs, other barbecue dishes, and pub food. Up to last night, 5 stars. But last night, ribs were overcooked (no taste except burnt!), fries tasted like leftovers from the day before (no flavor at all and soggy) and my wife's chicken likewise was very overcooked. Service excellent, but this was a poor experience for such a (previously) good restaurant.

TJ RIBS has the best ribs to be found ANYWHERE. No other place can compare!!

Fair bar-b-q. Sauce needs more tang and heat.The Memphis style ribs had way too much salt,but I did like the char on them and that there was some pull to the meat. Only ribs I have had since moving from TN to LA, hope there are better to be found.
