BATON ROUGE. Airy and inviting, Primo's offers upscale dining that isn't pretentious or overly formal. It's the kind of place you come to again and again, a pleasure of fine dining and attentive service. The menu offers beef and seafood selections, including a Black Angus ribeye, filet mignon, veal chop, and a filet-lobster tail combination. Grilled fish, roasted duck, crab cakes, and pork medallions also prove tempting. To get you in the mood, starters such as smoked salmon, escargot, and oysters served three ways prime the palate. A chef's table is also available for special occasions. The restaurant also features dining & dancing from 9pm-until, Wednesday through Saturday.

BATON ROUGE. This beloved chain of steakhouses bills itself as the "Home of Serious Steaks," and one visit will tell you that's more than a marketing slogan. Steaks are known for their sizzle, achieved by a dollop of butter dropped on hot-from-the-oven cuts; your choice will still be sputtering when it's placed in front of you. Ruth's Chris isn't intended for calorie-counters, but it is a true steak lover's haven. The establishment also takes pride in its great service, extensive wine list, and atmosphere of comfortable elegance.
