This is a great little restaurant for lunch. Large portions are sure to fill your tummy and exceptional taste is sure to satisfy your taste buds! The Jambalaya Shoppe also offers Gumbo, Red and White Beans, Crawfish Pies and more. When you want fast food that doesn't taste like "fast food," come to the Jambalaya Shoppe on Old Hammond.

Tsunami

100 Lafayette St, Baton Rouge, LA 70801

User Rating:  Rating: 5 / 5   (Rate It)

My Suitcase:   (Add to My Suitcase)

Resturants don't get better than Tsunami. Perched on top of the Shaw Center for the Arts in Historic Downtown Baton Rouge, Tsunami has amazing views of the Mississippi. Menu is innovative and interesting, but for a real sushi experience, sit at the sushi bar and get your chef to make his "special," you can't go wrong. Fun and lively vibe, but the view is what can't be missed.

WAKA House

4625 S Sherwood Forest Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816

User Rating:  Rating: 5 / 5   (Rate It)

Set in modern Japanese decor you are presented with an array of traditional Japanese fare including Sushi and Sashimi as well as original creations by the owner/chef, all presented with artistic flair. Special dietary needs can usually be accommodated, so please ask. All comments on the food are very welcome as the menu is in a constant state of change to try and meet customer preferences. All and all a very nice place to enjoy Japanese cuisine at your pace. A beverage license should be in place soon.
