BEAVER CREEK.   Beaver Creek has come into its own in recent years and now boasts runs and terrain that compare very favorably to those of its older sibling, Vail. By the numbers, what folks will find on the mountain are more than 100 trails, 11 lifts, 2 bowls, a base elevation of 8100, and a summit of more than 11,400. But what truly makes Beaver Creek so popular is that its slopes are less crowded than those at Vail and its skiable terrain allows free movement between three distinct villages: Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch, and of course, Beaver Creek.   (© 10Best)
