2. Bachelor Gulch

BEAVER CREEK.   Offering a solid combination of beginner and intermediate-caliber trails, Bachelor Gulch (base elevation: 8,100 feet) is part of Beaver Creek's unique village-to-village-to-village ski potential, connecting as it does to the neighboring slopes of Beaver Creek proper as well as Arrowhead. The runs, of which there are 25, are accompanied by four lifts and a variety of diversions, most of them affiliated with the majestic Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, a luxurious resort hotel that boasts a number of dining and après-ski options.
