2. The World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition

The Buzz -- The tastiest event associated with Beaver Creek's annual opening day celebration, this Saturday competition determines what baker will have the honor of inventing the official cookie recipe of the ski season. Competitors come from all over the U.S., and each one prepares 500 of his or her best homemade cookies. Of course, this event has little trouble drawing spectators, as the resort guests are the ones who get to sample each chocolate goody to determine which one earns the distinction of the World's Best.
