3. Dusty Boot Steakhouse and Saloon

BEAVER CREEK.   Featuring locally brewed beer and margaritas the size of Gibraaltar, the Boot is one of Beaver Creek's most popular watering holes/feed troughs. Rustic decor and a regular clientele that includes a fair number of real cowboys give the place a few doses of Old West authenticity. And then, of course, there's the tasty grub! At lunch time, you can stop in for a 1/2 pound, jalapeńo jack-topped burger, 1/2 pound BLT sandwich, or even an entree of trout filet with fried leeks. The dinner menu, meanwhile, features items like buffalo steak marinated in olive oil, rosemary, and garlic and the hearty Belly Ache Ridge Challenge (48-oz. of red meat glory!). Pretty good for casual and not too expensive food. Drinks were a little high, but this is a resort area. Much better that Coyote Grill.
