BEAVER CREEK.   This truly exceptional experience begins with your party enjoying a 20-minute, moonlit sleigh ride (or a horse-drawn wagon ride during the warmer months) from the base of Centennial Lift to a rustic-yet-modernized cabin located high on the mountain. Inside, you'll find a cozy – even romantic – dining space marked by oil-burning lamps, ceiling-high windows, tables appointed with white linens and, perhaps, a crackling fire. Beano's features prix fixe dinners only, and the menu includes such frontier-inspired fare as wood-grilled venison with Fontina cheese-potato tart, Colorado lamb loin with creamed leaks and roasted shitakes, and pan-seared breast Muscovy with baby bok choy.   (© 10Best)

Fabulous food but a bit of sticker shock considering the overly talkative PR schtick you have to endure on the way up and down the mountain.
