6. Maritime Day

The Buzz -- Maritime Day is a holiday celebrating the voyages of the ancient Chinese explorer Zheng of the Ming Dynasty. He is said to have made many long exploratory journeys, including a possible trip to the Americas. On this day, celebrations are held throughout the country on this day that feature music, food, and storytelling.
