4. The Belfast Empire Music Hall

I always enjoyed goin the the Empire to see my fav ROCK trib bands,however lately these are few and far between..Deft Leppard havent played there in over a year, Limehouse Lizzy have played once this year and Whitesnake UK who were one of the best havent been bck since last October...WHY???? Theres also other bands like Yankee rose(van halen) back street symphony(thunder) the Essential Journey (journey) to name but a few that i know would love to play this venue but for whatever reason it hasn't happened...WHY????..ROCK music is a good seller and these bands always get a good crowd, the venues they play in England are proof enough... IMO the Empire has slowly went downhill especially among the ROCK fans.... It would be great to go and see the above bands play the empire in the future...but will it happen???????

I found this bar to be the best during a two week stay in Belfast. Went to the blues night in the underground bar and an elvis night in the upstairs hall. Couldn't fault the place, very friendly staff and other customers all having a good time. Great pizzas too by the way!

the empire bar is a fantastic place to visit. The food isnt bad the one man band very good. The salsa fantastic. We are now going to take up salsa so we can come back and dance. The glam rock brilliant. What a way to spend a Friday night

Thought eating at the Empire would be great as had heard the salsa and comedy nights were legendary. Boy was i deluded and shocked, not only was the food luke warm when it finally arrived (i having half finished my meal when my partners meal finally arrived)... but the service was terrible, the waitress not only rude,argumentative, and abusive, all in all a miserable experience...going home not relaxed but angry at having spent money there, when could have popped in to any of the fast food joints along the the same street and would have got a some what better service....eat there at your own peril.

Of all the places in town, this has to be the best (or maybe it's because I'm a 30-something). The entertainment is great, and the doormen don't have preconceptions about what you're meant to look like to get into the place - unlike so many other haunts in town.
