5. Maritime and Coastal Zone Museums

NORTH SIDE/HARBOR.   These museums share space inside the building that was formerly Belize City's fire station. The Coastal Zone Museum's mission is to educate visitors about Belize's unique coral reef ecology. The Maritime Museum highlights Belize's seafaring history through a series of old documents, model boats, paintings and other displays. One ticket buys admission to both small, wood-creaking museums.   (© 10Best)
