9. Old Belize and Cucumber Beach

There is so much to do, see, eat and drink at Old Belize, that it could be listed in many categories, including recreation, shopping, dining and museums. In addition to a beach, swimming lagoon, zip line, waterslide and other water sports, Old Belize offers the Cultural and Historical Center, a 45-minute tour through a thousand years of Belizean history, with fascinating relics and simulations. There's also a boat marina, helipad, and excellent restaurant, bar and grill. The whole complex is located five miles out of the city on the Western Highway and actually gets more Belizean clients than tourists; definitely worth the trip.
