Belize City is not known for its nightlife, since most visitors are exhausted after a day of trekking through Mayan ruins or diving into the Blue Hole. However, the local bands are excellent and most bars offer some live entertainment, especially on weekends. The casino in the Princess Hotel is the largest in Central America, and it is open late every night of the week.
