Though "BC" is a small city, there are myriad dining options, especially for the adventurous eater. Small cafes dot the street corners; these serve favorite local dishes like rice and beans and fish fingers. A few spots even offer traditional Belizean dishes like armadillo. Most of the larger hotels have dining rooms, most with American, Continental, or Caribbean menus. Visitors should be prepared to pay cash, especially in small, family-owned cafes, since credit card acceptance is not the standard in Belize City. -- Kelly Boland, Contributing Writer
