BELLEVUE. This well-received regional chain is known for its Americanized versions of Mexican favorites. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas are among the classics you'll find, stuffed with meats and vegetables and dripping with melted cheese and fresh sauces. Molcajete stew, made with chicken, beef, or seafood, is another popular dish, as are slow-cooked lamb shank and huevos rancheros. Plenty of combination plates are also a big draw. Extremely popular with families and large groups.

BELLEVUE. Rumor has it that Bill Gates likes to have lunch here, but you don't have to be a billionaire to enjoy a great meal. In fact, prices are reasonable, especially if you stop by for the ample lunch buffet. Elegant, romantic dinners are also possible, courtesy of dim lighting, rich colors, and authentic Indian decor. If you like to turn up the culinary heat, try spicy vindaloo dishes, or play it safe with sautéed roasted eggplant and baby back ribs in mango soy sauce.

BELLEVUE. With as many restaurants as there are in Bellevue, this one being located in an unassuming strip mall may deter a discriminating diner. But venture forth and you'll be rewarded with fantastic European style cooking and an intimate dining area full of candles, flowers, and fine linens. The garlic lamb earns rave reviews from locals, and the beef dishes are consistently well prepared. Reservations recommended.
