8. Scruffy Murphy's

Legend has it that Irishman Sean Patrick "Scruffy" Murphy married Mary O'Brien, the town postmistress, and convinced her he should open a pub next to the post office. And so he did, back in 1845. This is considered a hotspot among the young professional crowd, particularly on weekends. The windows look out over the harbor but most people are too busy seeing and being seen to notice.
