GOURMET GHETTO.   Since the early 1990s, this small causal restaurant has admirably sated Berkeley's sushi cravings. Impeccably fresh fish is expertly prepared, with fabulous end results. Bamboo rolls include crab and tobiko, eel and cucumber, and yellowtail and tobiko; Nigiri selections are equally good, especially the baby seaweed squid. Bento boxes, noodle dishes, and broiled meats and seafood provide ample choice for meat-eaters, but there are plenty of vegetarian options, including veggie sushi, stir fires, tempura, and sukiyaki.   (© 10Best)
