Of course, it lays proud claim to an attractive, blond-wood bar (the city's longest), which delivers ample opportunity to rub elbows and chat while waiting for your favorite cocktail. Comfortable leather-backed chairs line the wall in the back, providing spots for intimate conversation. The interior features comfortable leather armchairs, cool marble, blond wood, and a crescent-shaped bar set against a seductive backdrop of floor-to-ceiling, black-and-white Helmut Newton nudes. Indeed, young, well-dressed professionals place such high stock in Newton that they bring their international clients to sip wine, check out the action on Gendarmenmarkt, and close the deal.
