KREUZBERG. A short walk from the East Side Gallery and the Oberbaum bridge is where you'll find Cunô: an all-purpose combination of Vietnamese kitchen, sushi restaurant, café and cocktail bar. During winter the interior is slick yet cozy, and in summer the outdoor tables are perfect for people-watching. If you're feeling adventurous, try the well-known "Italian Sushi" with mozzarella and basil pesto. U-BAHN: Schlesisches Tor

CHARLOTTENBURG - WILMERSDORF. With reflecting pools, red lanterns, and a staff in traditional dress, the ambience at this Japanese restaurant is quite relaxing. Although a bit expensive, you know you're getting your money's worth because you can watch an individual chef prepare your meal tableside. Menu selections include beef, seafood and sushi, and the atmosphere makes Daitokai worth the splurge. U-BAHN: Kurfürstendamm

PANKOW. This restaurant brings some of the best Thai cuisine to Berlin. The house favorite is the chicken in coconut, and most all entrées come lavishly draped with fruits or flowers for presentation. Business attire and reservations are a must.

The Chinese Fondue specialty, called "Feuertopf" in Germany, makes eating here an experience. The menu includes steamed seafood and other meats and vegetables. However, Ostwind also offers more classic and traditional entrées from Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai cuisines.
