 EDITOR REVIEW: MITTE. This restaurant is worth checking out if only for the décor. Its owners have installed the over-sized furnishings of a kitsch Chinese restaurant into an antique Irish bar. The combination can only be described as unique – clashing, trashy plastic decorations against dark, carved woodwork. The result has a saloon-bar feel, but it might also be the music – the restaurant serves up some great live entertainment, including country, rockabilly and burlesque acts. The service is a contradictory mix of ice-cold attitude and genuine friendliness, but bear with it for the best burgers and fries in town.
