In 1936, the Cristóbal Colón, a 480-foot Spanish luxury cruiser, ran aground off the coast of Bermuda. The ship now lies in 30 to 55 feet of water on a reef between North Rock and North Breaker. It's the largest known shipwreck in Bermuda's waters and a haven for eager divers.

The wreck of this 165-foot steam ship attracts grouper, lobster, crabs, coral shrimp, queen angelfish and many other brightly colored ocean species. The ship foundered in 1985, roughly one mile off Warwick Long Bay on the south shore. The ship now lies in 80 feet of water.

The French ship L'Hermanie had left port in Cuba only 17 days before it sank in 1838. The frigate now lies in 20 to 30 feet of water off the west side of the island. Twenty-five of the ship's 60 guns are still visible.

The Rita Zovetta is a favorite of underwater photographers thanks to the wide variety of colorful fish that inhabit the area. This Italian cargo ship sank in 1924 off the coast of St. David's Island. The ship now lies in 20 to 70 feet of water.
