SANDYS PARISH. Built to protect the Royal Dockyard, Fort Scaur never saw battle. It's one of the many forts built around the island to provide protection for the British colonists. The vista overlooking the Great Sound is one of the best aspects of a visit to the fort. (© 10Best)
