SOUTHAMPTON PARISH.   The beacon draws tourists near while warning ships and planes of the island's location. Gibb's Hill, built in 1846, was the island's first lighthouse. Although the eight flights of stairs to the top can seem rather daunting, the views of the island are splendid once you've arrived. Be sure to visit the Lighthouse Tea Room for breakfast, lunch or a simple cup of tea. The gift shop provides mementos and souvenirs.   (© 10Best)

User Reviews for Gibb's Hill Lighthouse

Pre-hurricane visits for historical and then romantic dinner. The dinner was delicious, the ambiance was extremely intimate, the service was refreshing, and the presentation was outstanding. I could not believe that the "museum/tea room" that we had visited during daylight had been transformed into such a delightful dinner service! We went back for a codfish and potato breakfast and, as we are considering another Bermuda vacation, are looking for a good hotel near the lighthouse!
