PEMBROKE PARISH.
This charming restaurant is decorated in classic British style with dark paneling and antiques. Traditional pub favorites, such as bangers and mash, fish-and-chips and shepherd's pie, are on the menu for lunch. Dinner offers more elaborate fare, such as whole lobsters, chicken and shrimp brochette and a fresh catch of the day. The house dessert specialty is banana fritters; they're battered and fried, then flamed with Bermuda black rum.

We have been coming to Bermuda every year for 9 years and the Hog Penny is traditionally our first night’s dinner. The pub atmosphere and English fare are like coming home to an old friend. We look forward to every visit.

This is a fine example of an old time pub. The Hog Penny is a favorite with tourists and locals as well. The Bermuda Fish Chowder is undeniably the best on the island. The staff is cordial, accommodating and efficient. It's one of the few eateries on the island that is child-friendly.
