The Buzz -- PENNSYLVANIA YOUTH THEATRE (PYT) announces its Fall Production: Maggie Magalita directed by Bethany Burgess-Smith, October 23 – November 1, 2009 at the Charles A. Brown IceHouse in downtown Bethlehem. Pennsylvania Youth Theatre is excited to present Maggie Magalita by Wendy Kesselman. This award-winning, bilingual play (30% of the dialogue is Spanish) explores the clash of cultures, traditions and generations in one Latino family. As Maggie, a teenager, faces the challenges of “fitting in” to her new country, she ultimately rediscovers the beauty and pride of her heritage through the eyes of her non-English speaking grandmother.
