'This Biloxi landmark has housed a couple of Italian restaurants, but Jazeppi's takes the Italian cuisine and adds its own flavors of the Coast. Veal and fish dishes are exceptional. Try the Veal Mattina, paneed veal with shrimp, lump crab meat, crawfish tails and artichoke hearts in a light white sauce over angel hair pasta. Oyster lovers will enjoy the Oysters Carciofi. Roasted artichoke bottoms are filled with oyster stuffing, poached oysters and finished with an oyster veloute. The more typical Italian offerings of Chicken Marsala and Clam Linguine are also on the menu. For those that just want appetizers or drinks, a martini bar awaits at the south end of the restaurant.

GULFPORT. For seven years, this large Mexican restaurant has been spicing up Coast palates with favorites such as chile rellenos, flautas (chicken or beef) and carne asada. True to its heritage, the restaurant is decorated with piñatas and Mexican paintings and posters. On Tuesdays, a mariachi band strolls through the restaurant entertaining guests. La Favorita is the best of the combination dinners, with large portions of chile rellenos, beef flautas and quesadillas. For lighter fare, split the nachos al carbon with a friend – the dish is too large for one person, but goes well with a frozen margarita. The margaritas come in three sizes; opt for the small one – the medium is the size of a large brandy snifter.
