The Buzz -- Alabamans are button-popping proud of their very own Alabama Ballet and its put-Birmingham-on-the-map accomplishments. The Alabama Company is one of only six in the world licensed to present the precise choreography, sets, costumes, and nuances for the Nutcracker envisioned by the great ballet master George Balanchine. The Nutcracker is performed annually at Samford University's Wright Center
