Cafe DuPont is by far the finest restaurant in metropolitan Birmingham. The food and service never fail me. Outstanding!!

Great food. Great Service. Great Atmosphere. I went to the restaurant with three of my friends. For appetizers we had the fried oysters and okra (incredible), the fried green tomatoes with shrimp (awesome), and the goat cheese souffle (delicious). For our entrees, the stand outs were the rabbit plate and the scallop/mussel plate. For the dessert, we split the creme brulee and the bananas foster...both were exceptional. Though the food was not truly New Orleans Cajun, the adaption of the French Cajun cuisine with a Deep South/Alabama flair will surely draw me back for more!
