4. La Mesa Grill and Cantina

FIVE POINTS SOUTH.   Don't expect to find the standard "gringo fare" at this sexy, upscale Spanish spot in Historic Five Points South. The dinner menu leans heavily toward the Latin side, promising tapas such as roasted marcona almonds and marinated olives, chorizo and manchego empanadillas, and hot Spanish meatballs. Larger plates are available as well, including paella and fried oyster tacos. The lineup at the bar is just as impressive, with a few dozen cervezas, Spanish wines, and top-shelf mojitos to choose from.   (© 10Best)
