A nod to Birmingham's coal-burning and iron-making days, this living museum recreates an Industrial Age village, complete with blacksmith, candy maker, and canal boats. Visitors trek through the 26-acre site or take trams to various exhibits of the region's past industries and see the former living quarters of Black Country inhabitants. A boat ride through local caverns is also available, and several restaurants provide refreshments to busy travelers. A good day trip.
